Andrea Tagliapietra, a Venetian DOC, was born in Murano in the 1950s. At the age of 14, he began working as an apprentice for the master Ermanno Nason, following in the footsteps of his father Erminio, one of the most talented glass masters employed in the famous Salviati & C.Passion and an immense talent allow Andrea to become a master glassmaker in 1979. In 1980 he begins to create works that over time will become popular and successful thanks to the particular expressiveness, style, formal and chromatic balance. Currently, Maestro Andrea Tagliapietra is considered one of the specialists in the technique of Massello and Chalcedony and his works are exhibited in private collections in San Francisco, New York, Chicago and Tokyo.
